Find Your Axis
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
1. Overview
Find Your Axis (“FYA”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) helps adults explore patterns of motivations, preferences, identity, and personal development through quizzes, results, profiles, and related insights.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what is useful, explain why it is used, and avoid using identifiable personal data in ways that would surprise you.
2. Adults only
FYA is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect account data from children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may close the account and delete or de-identify associated personal information.
3. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: email address, sign-in method, session information, display name, adult confirmation, birth year, country or region, profile details, account status, and account settings.
- Quiz and result information: quiz responses, selected answer options, scores, generated results, axis or longitudinal product profile information, result history, and saved or shared result links.
- Guest quiz information: quiz responses and limited context provided before account creation. If guest result claiming is available, we may link a guest session to your FYA account when you choose to create or sign in to an account.
- Consent choices: whether you agree to product improvement uses, non-commercial research uses, or commercial research and partner insight uses.
- Usage and security information: device, browser, necessary cookies or browser storage, logs, pages visited, sign-in events, error data, and security-related activity.
- Communications: messages, support requests, staff invitations, account emails, and email delivery events.
- Payment information: if paid features are offered, payments may be processed by a payment provider. We do not intend to store full card details ourselves.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide quizzes, results, profiles, and account features;
- save and update your FYA profile when you choose to sign up;
- create and maintain guest quiz sessions and, when you choose, attach eligible guest results to your FYA account;
- operate, secure, debug, and improve FYA;
- personalise your experience and reduce repeated questions;
- send account, security, password, and invitation emails;
- understand aggregate usage, conversion, and product quality;
- develop better models of human drivers and quiz scoring;
- conduct de-identified, aggregated, or privacy-preserving non-commercial research when you consent;
- create de-identified, aggregated, or privacy-preserving commercial research, benchmarks, reports, or partner insights when you consent; and
- comply with legal, security, and operational obligations.
We process certain information because it is necessary to operate FYA, including account credentials, session information, profile details, quiz responses, results, security logs, consent records, and account-status records. This processing is separate from optional research or partner-insight consent.
5. Research, commercial insights, and de-identification
FYA may generate research findings, aggregate reports, trend summaries, datasets, benchmarks, or partner insights. Where these uses go beyond operating and improving FYA, we ask for separate consent.
If you opt in to non-commercial research, FYA may use de-identified, aggregated, or privacy-preserving information from your quiz responses, results, profile context, and product activity for non-commercial research. Declining or later withdrawing this consent does not block normal use of FYA.
If you opt in separately to commercial research or partner insights, FYA may use de-identified, aggregated, or privacy-preserving information to create commercial research, benchmarks, reports, or partner insights.
We do not intend to sell identifiable personal information. Commercial opportunities should use aggregated, de-identified, or privacy-preserving outputs unless you have clearly agreed otherwise.
De-identification reduces risk but may not remove all risk in every context. We will use reasonable safeguards before sharing or publishing aggregate or de-identified outputs.
6. Sharing and service providers
We may share information with trusted providers that help us run FYA, including hosting, database, authentication, email delivery, security, deployment, and support providers. Current or expected providers include Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for hosting and deployment, Resend for email delivery, and Google if you choose Google sign-in. These providers process information for us so FYA can operate.
Stripe or analytics providers should be treated as future or conditional providers unless and until paid features or analytics are enabled. Optional analytics or tracking should be described separately if added later.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or business transfer, subject to reasonable protections.
7. Your choices
You can update profile details, change your password, and manage some account settings in FYA. You may request access, correction, withdrawal of optional research consent, or account closure, subject to legal, security, and legitimate operational limits.
Optional non-commercial research and commercial partner-insight choices are separate. You can change those choices later. Declining optional uses does not prevent FYA from processing information needed to provide, secure, and maintain the service.
If you use Google sign-in, some identity information is managed by Google. You can also manage FYA’s access from your Google Account.
8. Account closure, deletion, and retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide FYA, maintain security, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and support legitimate product and research purposes.
Account closure removes or disables your sign-in credential and prevents continued access to the closed account. FYA may retain product records, consent history, audit records, security records, and de-identified or aggregated analytical records where needed for legal, security, operational, research, or product-integrity reasons. Account closure is not always the same as immediate deletion of every historical record.
We may retain aggregated, de-identified, pseudonymised, or non-identifying information after an account is closed, deleted, or deactivated, subject to your consent choices and applicable limits.
9. Cookies, browser storage, and security
FYA uses necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, refresh sessions, protect accounts, route authentication callbacks, remember short-lived access state, and operate the service. These are not optional analytics cookies. If optional analytics or tracking is added later, it should be described separately.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including managed authentication, role-based access controls, secure hosting, and email-domain verification. No system is perfectly secure, so you should use a strong password and protect access to your email account.
